Korean-based game publisher NEOWIZ has announced the launch of “NEOWIZ Quest,” a contest designed to support and elevate indie game developers worldwide. The contest offers an impressive prize pool of over $115,000 for the best narrative-driven games that show strong potential for expansion in world-building, character development and fan engagement.
The NEOWIZ Quest contest is open to all indie game developers, whether they are individuals, teams, or aspiring entrepreneurs, with entry being completely free. The contest welcomes games of any genre and platform, with the only exclusion being projects that have already been commercially released, including those in Early Access.
“At NEOWIZ, we are dedicated to fostering the next wave of game developers who are paving the way for narrative experiences that resonate with audiences worldwide,” stated Seungchul Kim, Co-CEO of NEOWIZ. “Through NEOWIZ Quest, we hope to create a supportive environment where creators can focus on developing their games and ignite a fresh and innovative approach to what indie gaming can be.”
Developers have until Friday, January 16, 2026, to submit their applications and game builds, with participants being able to continue to modify their submissions up until the deadline. Following the submission period, a panel of judges will select ten finalists, with the winners being announced at an offline awards ceremony on Friday, March 6, 2026.
NEOWIZ Quest is set to be NEOWIZ’s largest contest for developers to date, aiming to highlight the company’s commitment to publishing a diverse portfolio of titles from a wide range of creators. The company not only has partnerships with indie studios like BLANK Studio, ZAKAZANE, Wolfeye Studios, Lizard Smoothie, and JINO Games, but has also published popular titles such as Lies of P, Brave Nine, DJMAX RESPECT, and Cats & Soup.
