The Honkai Impact 3rd team announced that the action title is releasing Version 8.0, In Search of the Sun, on January 9th. Captains will be able to fight with Durandal’s new battlesuit, Reign Solaris, and continue investigating the Ten Shus War.
Reign Solaris is an IMG-type Physical DMG dealer. Having turned smaller, Durandal is more agile and can use the javelin in nimble ways. Reign Solaris also has two completely different combat forms.
In the Rampager form, she can perform 3-sequence attacks with the javelin and perform Charged ATKs to deal more damage. In Skyrider form, little Durandal zips past her enemies on her hoverboard and performs lightning-fast 3-sequence attacks. After casting her Ultimate, she soars into the clouds on her hoverboard. She then hurls her weapon, which pierces the sky to obliterate her enemies with massive Physical damage.
After the Version 8.0 update, little Durandal’s recommended weapon Valorous Effulgence and PRI-ARM Valorous Effulgence: New Voyage will be available. When equipped with her recommended weapon, little Durandal’s QTE is enhanced and she can generate up to 4 more javelins.
Illuminating the Universe stigma set will also be available. This stigma set depicts little Durandal’s life in a parallel universe. Playing soccer, playing in a band, and skateboarding are all a cakewalk to her.
In Part 2 Chapter VII: Bouquets of Unfulfilled Wishes, Dreamseeker and her companions return to the Mars system to continue investigating the Ten Shus War. Helia holds back her tears as she continues to uncover the reason behind Coralie’s unfortunate plight.
Moreover, an unexpected individual related to the eye in Helia’s mind will appear in the new main story. After what happened to Coralie, the protagonists are even more eager to locate the god of Mars. They have undergone a series of trials and finally made it into the tower that overlooks Ruimu, a sacred place accessible only to victors of the Ten Shus War.
In the Version 8.0 update, the main story gameplay will be a new cube game. This time, Vita will team up with little Durandal to clean the dirty data generated during system operations. In On-Duty Work Guide, Captains will move Cube-ianka around and solve puzzles. Completing the main story rewards Crystals, Source Prisms, and more! During the event, complete specific main story chapters to obtain a portion of 60,000,000 Crystals!
Version 8.0 update’s featured event is Countdown: To Sweet Dreams! Some familiar faces will appear in this event too. We will meet Mei, Theresa, Fu Hua, Herrscher of Sentience, and we might even see Griseo, Carole, and Vita.
In addition to the comedic story, a fun boss battle awaits. Captains must help Kiana dodge drumsticks falling from above and retaliate to the beat of a drum. Aside from the boss fight, normal fights will also play out differently.
Captains will command followers in battle to help Kiana restore the dream world. Captains can even become monster trainers in Honkai Impact 3rd! In Version 8.0, play this event to get an emblem, Crystals, Source Prisms, and more. Senadina’s new outfit Steering Inequations will also be available!
