‘Neko Atsume’ Mobile Game Confirms Sequel, Arriving This Summer

The viral cat-collecting mobile game has a sequel on the way. Developers Hit-Point announced the news on their official website in late February, promising “elements that further enhance the Neko Atsume feel”.

The original ‘Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector’ mobile game has been downloaded more than 19 million times worldwide since its release in October 2014. The game has also been adapted into a live-action film titled ‘Neko Atsume House‘ and a VR game titled ‘Neko Atsume VR‘.

‘Neko Atsume 2’ will be free-of-charge with in-game purchases, and will be available in both Japanese and English. The game is recommended for iOS 12.0 and AndroidOS 6.0 or later.

Hit-Point has also announced that updates for ‘Neko Atsume’ will be delayed as they focus on developing the sequel game.
