Kuro Games has revealed details for Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, “Prism’s Illusion, Heart’s Illumination,” launching September 30, 2026.
The update continues the main story with Chapter IV Act IV: Simulacrum of the Heart, alongside a new Tales Quest, the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou area, new Resonators and Echoes, and a range of improvements to quest replay, Echo management, photography and team organisation.
New Story Content and Area
Version 3.7 continues the journey across Solaris-3 with the new Main Quest Chapter IV Act IV: Simulacrum of the Heart and Tales Quest Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing. The update also introduces the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou and the permanent event Blooms for the Shadow.
Two new Resonators, Hsin and Suoming, will arrive through the update’s Featured Resonator Convenes. Two new weapons, Blooming Jadehaven and Unspoken Rue, will also be added.

Five New Echoes and Sonata Effects
Version 3.7 expands the Echo system with five new Echoes:
- Formrender
- Soulfrayer
- Skywatch Lancer
- Bloomburst Puppet
- Jade Nether Serpent
Players can also obtain the new Phantom: Skywatch Lancer Echo.
Three new Sonata Effects will be introduced:
- Heart of Sworn Vigil
- Flash of Electric Reflection
- Flower of Tinged Yearning
New Events and Accessories
The update will feature a range of activities, including Cubie Wars, Gifts of Waking Moon, Echo Erase, Dreams in the Capsule, Past Dreams, Traced Seals, Artisan’s Search, and Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang.
The Gifts of Singing Drizzle event will run from October 22 at 10:00 to November 11 at 03:59 server time, offering players 10 Radiant Tide along with additional rewards for logging in.
Players can also participate in the Waking Moon Fishing and Back to Solaris web events.
New accessories include:
- Hsin’s Accessory: Where Dreams Shine Clear
- Rover’s Accessory: Not Even Close
- Hsin’s Accessory: Spring in Bloom
- Suoming’s Accessory: Glazed Roseate
A new WavesLine Look, Hsin and Moon, will also be available through the Store.
Meanwhile, the Moonlit Path event allows players to progress by reaching Moonlit Ring milestones and unlocking corresponding rewards.
Main Quest Replay and Echo Management
Version 3.7 introduces Main Quest Replay through the Journey Log. Players will be able to revisit:
- Version 1.1: Thaw of Eons
- The Moon-Chasing Festival event from Version 1.2: In the Turquoise Moonglow
- Main quests from Version 1.3: To the Shore’s End
Progress is automatically saved when players leave Replay Mode, while players can also manually reset their progress. More chapters will be added in future updates.
Echo management is also being streamlined. Unequipped, non-upgraded Echoes with the same Echo type, Sonata Effect and Mainstat will automatically stack into a single backpack item, with each stack holding up to 999 Echoes.
Echoes will be prioritised during automatic stacking in the following order: Locked, Discarded, then Unmarked.
For Resonators with two Resonance Modes, the Echo Recommendation and Echo Equipment menus will also provide mode-specific set recommendations, including the relevant Resonance Mode icon when applicable.
Expanded Camera and Team Management
The Camera System receives several new tools, including Handheld Mode and Selfie Mode. Selfie Mode features adjustable poses and expressions, while Tripod Mode will offer a more controllable drone-style perspective.

- Time, Weather and Foliage Wind Direction controls
- Adjustable Global Filter parameters

Team management is also being expanded from the existing setup options to 20 team configurations.
A new 3D Team Setup Mode allows players to switch between 2D and 3D displays, while teams can now be reordered and given custom names for easier organisation. Some devices may not support the 3D display mode.
Tiered Client Resource Downloads
Version 3.7 will begin a limited test of Tiered Client Resource Downloads on PC, iOS and Android.
Eligible PC players will be able to choose between UHD, HD and SD resource tiers, while eligible mobile players can select HD or SD. The different tiers are designed to provide different download sizes and graphics quality options based on players’ devices and preferences.
The feature will be introduced gradually as the development team monitors feedback and continues optimisation.
Fan Creations and New Merchandise
The Version 3.7 preview also introduced Solaris Starry Stage, a programme celebrating fan creations, as well as Wuwa Tappo, an upcoming Wuthering Waves desktop pet software.
New merchandise created with RIBOSE was also revealed, including painted prototypes of Tea Break Moments chibi figures featuring Jinhsi and Changli. Further details will be announced through official channels.
