The Animation Department at the Faculty of Creative Multimedia, Multimedia University (MMU), is set to host “Strange & Wonderful – An Animation Industry Preview 2026,” a showcase featuring all Final Year Projects from the Animation class. The event invites industry professionals, animation enthusiasts, and the public to experience the next generation of Malaysian animation talent.
Scheduled for September 12, 2026, the event offers attendees a comprehensive look at the creative output of MMU’s graduating animation students, with a full day of screenings and portfolio reviews.
The theme “Strange & Wonderful” was chosen to reflect the diverse nature of the stories being presented. While each project explores unique narratives and artistic approaches, they are united by a shared sense of whimsy and unpredictability that characterizes this year’s graduating cohort.
