Taiwanese indie developer No. Nine Studio has announced that Arcade Galaxy, a multiplayer party obstacle-course game, will officially launch on Steam on September 9, 2026.
The game supports up to eight players, combining chaotic obstacle courses, special abilities, competitive multiplayer modes and a Map Editor that lets players create and share their own stages.
Race, Compete and Cause Chaos
In Arcade Galaxy, players control colorful cube-shaped animal vehicles known as Cubs as they navigate stages filled with traps, moving platforms, jump pads, shortcuts and other surprises.
While reaching the finish line is the basic objective, staying ahead is only part of the challenge. Players can use special abilities and stage mechanics to interfere with their opponents, while a single mistake or well-timed shortcut can completely change the result.
With up to eight players competing together, each round is designed to create unpredictable moments, whether players are racing ahead or sending their friends off the course.

Star Scramble Adds a New Way to Compete
The full release introduces Star Scramble, a multiplayer mode focused on collecting and protecting stars rather than simply reaching the finish line. Players must compete for stars scattered around the arena, with the first player to collect three stars and maintain their lead taking the win.
Bumping, chasing and stealing from opponents become key parts of the mode, turning each match into a fight for control.

Build and Share Your Own Stages
Arcade Galaxy also features a Map Editor, allowing players to create their own obstacle courses without requiring coding or advanced level-design skills. The editor uses drag-and-drop tools to place terrain, traps, jump pads, moving platforms and decorative elements. Completed stages can then be shared with friends and the wider community.
Player-created content is positioned as a core part of the game’s experience, with the developers encouraging players to create, share and challenge one another.
More Customization and Post-Launch Support
Alongside its multiplayer obstacle courses, Star Scramble and Map Editor, the launch version will include special abilities and character customization. No. Nine Studio plans to continue developing and expanding Arcade Galaxy after launch, with future improvements guided by community feedback.
