gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 has revealed more details about its upcoming edition, including an expanded entertainment area, new game showcases, fan activities and appearances from major industry figures.
Running from October 29 to November 1, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok, this year’s event will carry the theme “The Heart of Gaming” and is supported by Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa).
Four-Hall Entertainment Area
Following last year’s format, the event will once again be divided into business and entertainment areas, with the entertainment section expanding to four halls for the first time. Platinum Sponsors Synnex | Nintendo and Monster Energy will support the entertainment area alongside a range of gaming brands.
Game showcases and experiences will feature companies including 4Divinity, Bandai Namco Entertainment, CAPCOM, Elementa, GRYPHLINE, KURO GAMES, LMD Games, PlayPark, PlayStation by GameShop Concept Store, Razer Game Services, Rising Tide, SEGA, Synnex | Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. Gaming hardware and peripherals from AMD, EGA Zone, GameSir, Lenovo, SteelSeries, SIGNO and XPG will also be on display.
Among the games confirmed for demos are Guns of Eschaton, Genigods: Nezha, A Whisper of Fall: Jinyiwei, Sword Sage: Awakening, Realm of Taiwu, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Mega Man: Dual Override, Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Street Fighter 6, Pragmata, Arknights: Endfield, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Muv-Luv Girls Garden. More titles are expected to be announced ahead of the event.
John Romero to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
Industry legend John Romero, known for his work on landmark titles including DOOM and Quake, will appear at the event to meet fans and receive the Lifetime Achievement Award on the main stage.
The Thailand Game Awards 2026 will also expand to 31 categories, including 13 categories covering gaming hardware and IT products and 18 recognising developers and game titles. The awards will include the highly anticipated Game of the Year, along with three new categories for indie games; and the WINGS Award, which recognises outstanding games where women and other gender-marginalised developers hold key positions.
Cosplay, Fan Meetings and Live Performances
The Cosplay Contest 2026 will feature an increased prize pool of 300,000 baht, with registration open from August 24 to September 30. A new Best Duo category will join the returning Solo, Team and All-Star categories.
Fans will also have opportunities to meet international guests including John Romero and Xiaoyukiko, alongside Thai creators such as zbing z., SoomnyVivii Ch, Jubjang Ch., EVA GAMER, Sir.Mikey, PangBoy CH, The Xesitz, AdKong7K, Oppa Hong and SpriteDer SPD.
Thai-Japanese idol Cherprang Areekul will perform a new arrangement of the event’s theme song, The Biggest Dream Revision 2026, on the entertainment area’s Main Stage.
ACE Makes Its Debut at the Event
For the first time, ACE (Anime Asia Comics Content Entertainment Expo) will take place alongside gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show. Described as Thailand’s first pop-culture mega-event of its kind, ACE will bring together anime, comics, film, television, music, toys and collectibles.
The area will feature brands and entertainment names including VIU and Butterbear, alongside exclusive products, limited editions, creator appearances and fan experiences. Producers behind Ghost in the Shell will also participate in panels exploring the iconic anime franchise.
Primetime and Steam Festival
The event will begin online with Primetime, an opening show featuring new trailers, teasers and indie game showcases. Primetime will stream on October 29 at 8PM GMT+7, with the programme available in English and localised versions for Bahasa Indonesia, Thai and Vietnamese audiences.
A dedicated gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show Steam Festival will also run during the event, allowing players to discover, demo and wishlist participating games while accessing special offers.
Business Area Brings Global Games Industry Together
The business area will take place from October 29 to 30, focusing on networking, partnerships and learning opportunities for games industry professionals. More than 70 speakers from over 20 countries will participate across four conference stages, covering subjects including game design, business strategy and publishing.
The exhibition will feature booths representing 25 countries and regions, including pavilions from Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and Thailand. Other programmes include pitch and reverse-pitching competitions, the Invest Circle and VIP XPerience sponsored by Xsolla, and the Asia Game Talent Showcase, which highlights games created by leading student teams from across Asia.
