Yesterday morning, Geoff Keighley and co-host Eefje “sjokz” Depoortere took to the gamescom event arena to present a packed lineup of world premieres, new trailers and glimpses of gameplay from Final Fantasy VII Revelation to The Witcher 3.

HoYoverse reveals original co-op action game, Nodusfall
HoYoverse blew minds around the world when they brought the global premiere for Nodusfall, a brand-new original co-op action game, to the gamescom Opening Night Live stage. Players take on the role of Weavers, forging bonds with powerful companions to to battle earth shattering foes, seizing whatever divinity remains, and uncovering secrets buried deep within the world.
ANANTA finally set to launch on January 15, 2027
NetEase Games and Naked Rain announced that ANANTA, the highly anticipated free-to-play urban open-world RPG, will launch worldwide on January 15, 2027 on ANANTA’s official client, on Steam, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms . To date, the game has accumulated over 17 million global pre-registrations from players across 110 countries and regions.
EXODUS gets release date on April 7, 2027
Archetype Entertainment announced that its upcoming Sci-Fi Action RPG, EXODUS, will launch worldwide on April 7, 2027. In the new cinematic gameplay trailer, players are further introduced to Salt, an Awakened octopus mercenary and bounty hunter who joins Jun’s journey as a companion.
Wizards of the Coast reveals first gameplay trailer for Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons
Wizards of the Coast and Invoke Studios revealed a first look at gameplay, giving players an extended look at the upcoming game, starting off by revealing a brand-new character: Tasha. Maggie Robertson plays the role of Tasha, who acts as Kaatri’s patron and source of power. Tasha teaches Kaatri to sense Raw Magic, power hidden throughout Darkon that lets her expand and transform her magical ability.
Path of Exile 2 gets 1.0 release on December 11, 2026
Path of Exile 2 will launch as a fully free-to-play action RPG on December 11, 2026 and mark the game’s 1.0 full release. The launch introduces the Duelist, a sword-focused melee class, and adds the remaining campaign Acts. The Duelist is Path of Exile 2’s first sword-wielding class, introducing one of the game’s most anticipated weapon archetypes to Wraeclast.
SOMA spiritual successor, ONTOS, reveals first gameplay trailer
Frictional Games and Kepler Interactive revealed brand-new gameplay footage featuring… a server room of rats? In ONTOS, players will play as Aditi as she explores the repurposed moon hotel Samsara and encounters strange Experiments and other disturbing scenarios. Each unique set piece will challenge the player’s morality and encourage thoughtful exploration to decide its potential outcome.
Creator of Inscryption reveals next game, Pony Island 2: Panda Circus
After taking a break to create Inscryption, Daniel Mullins finally returns to the world of Pony Island for a sequel. Pony Island 2: Panda Circus is a phantasmagorical voyage through time, myth, divinity, and video games. You were a young nomad who would have gone on to conquer the world, until an early death doomed your soul to The Earth Prison where you must now escape the lordly deities of the underworld. This is not a game about ponies.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation reveals Weapons in new trailer
In the trailer, enormous guardians called Weapons emerge to defend a world in crisis. Making no distinction between friend and foe, the Weapons wreak catastrophic destruction upon the planet and its people. Upon desert sands, in mid-air dogfights and at the bottom of the sea, Cloud and his fellow heroes must stand against the colossal Weapons even as they toil to save the world from Sephiroth.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered arrives September 29, 2026 including free upgrade & DLCs
Eleven years after the game’s initial launch, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt returns with a remaster that enhances visuals, combat, traversal and movement, and even introduces a skill tree revamp, transmogrification, new finishers, and more.
Not only that, all players who already own the base game will receive a free upgrade to the Remastered Edition on qualifying platforms. The Remaster will come with both acclaimed expansions — Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine — and players who already own The Witcher 3 can play both expansions right now at no additional cost.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gets Songs of the Past paid expansion in 2027
The highly anticipated Songs of the Past DLC was also shared on the gamescom stage, revealing the brand-new region of Letten. This idyllic land is rich in rural tradition and folklore, and its people enjoy a fulfilling life of bountiful harvests and lavish festivals. But a dark secret lurks just beneath the surface, and Geralt must overcome never-before-seen foes as he fights to overcome its long-dormant evil.
