In huge news for book-loving millenials everywhere, Trailmark Games and the Coolabi Group have announced Warrior Cats: Clan of the Forest, a turn-based RPG coming to the Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox X|S, and PC later this fall. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer, which you can check out below:
The game’s official description reads: “Step into the paws of your own original character and experience life among the Clans in Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest. Explore a vibrant wilderness filled with hidden paths, dangerous rivals, spiritual omens, and unforgettable adventures inspired by the world from the best-selling Warrior Cats books from Erin Hunter.“
Players will be able to create and customise their own cat character, choose from one of four Clans, and rise through the ranks as they hunt prey, patrol territories, uncover secrets, and defend their home in strategic turn-based combat, as they journey through various terrain including forests, marshlands, swamps, and open moors.
Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest adapts the Warrior Cats series of novels by Erin Hunter, with players reportedly being able to interact with both iconic characters from the books, and new characters created for the game. The game’s developer, Trailmark Games, is best known for creating The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival.
