IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have released Extended Operations, a free DLC update for 007 First Light. Available now, the update adds several community-requested features, including New Game+, a new 00 difficulty, Photo Mode, improved weapon animations, and additional TacSim content.
New Game+ and 00 Difficulty
New Game+ unlocks after completing the campaign on any difficulty, allowing players to replay the story from the beginning or completed checkpoints while retaining unlocked outfits and gadgets.
Completing the campaign also unlocks the new 00 difficulty, which provides tougher combat, stealth, and social encounters. Enemies react more quickly, stronger guard variants appear, gadget use is restricted in certain situations, and combat features tighter timing and more punishing damage.
Players can also use their custom outfits and gadgets in New Game+ across Easy, Normal, Hard, and 00 difficulties.
New TacSim Content
The update adds the Valhalla Protocol, a four-mission TacSim set in the Slovakian Mountains featuring the Aston Martin Valhalla. Players can drive the car during both day and night missions while using Bond’s weapons to eliminate targets, earn time bonuses, and chase high scores.
A new TacSim mission also returns Bond to The Pearl resort in Vietnam, where he must infiltrate a guarded villa and recover classified documents. The entire property, including its rooftop, is now playable, while the redesigned interior provides additional opportunities for stealth.
TacSim missions also now support the full weapon arsenal from the main campaign.
Photo Mode and Gameplay Improvements
Extended Operations introduces a full Photo Mode, allowing players to pause the action and adjust character poses, camera positioning, lenses, brightness, filters, backgrounds, and logos to create custom screenshots.
The update also improves weapon-handling animation fidelity and introduces a new gameplay twist: Bond himself can now be thrown from ledges, meaning players must remain alert during encounters.
007 First Light is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Amazon.com.
