The official soundtrack to the 2026 Ghost in the Shell reboot will release this September 9, combining the talents of the series’ musical team Taisei Iwasaki, Ryo Konishi, and Yuki Kanesaka.
The soundtrack album will be released on CD and vinyl formats, which both include two discs each. First-press editions of the CD and all copies of the vinyl will be housed in special packaging featuring a brand-new illustration by tarou2 from Science Saru.
Music from the 2026 Ghost in the Shell will also be released on select music streaming services and major music download platforms, such as the iTunes Store, Rekochoku and mora, starting from September 9. More music from the series is available on Flying Dog’s website.
About the Musicians
- Taisei Iwasaki (Music Director): An award-winning musician known for his work on theatrical films such as Belle and Scarlet, as well as Netflix releases like First Love Hatsukoi, The Naked Director, and Bullet Train Explosion. He is a three-time winner of the Japan Academy Awards.
- Ryo Konishi (Music): A musical composer, arranger, and performer who previously served as the musical director for the opening ceremony of the 2025 Osaka World Expo. He has worked with artists such as Chara+YUKI, Ikimonogakari, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, TOMOO, and King & Prince.
- Yuki Kanesaka (Music): A Boston-based music creator and composer currently serving as an assistant professor at the Berklee College of Music, while also developing products for companies like Sony and AlphaThetha/Pioneer.
