Capcom has officially announced that Devil May Cry 5 will be added to the Nintendo Switch 2, released as the definitive Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition. A digital version is scheduled to launch on 23 June 2026, while a physical version will follow later this year on Friday, 28 August 2026.
The Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition promises players the ultimate handheld experience, with uncompromised 60fps action whether docked on your television or played in Handheld Mode on the go. Experience the fast-paced, high-tension combos exactly as the developers intended.
The Devil Hunter Edition will also come packed with extra character costumes, weapon variants, and a fully playable Vergil, utilizing his iconic Yamato blade with an entirely distinct, lightning-fast combat style – all included with no separate purchases required.
Devil May Cry 5 was originally released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019, followed by various console ports in later years. The series has long captivated action game fans with its blend of brilliant swordsmanship and gunplay, which effectively established the “Stylish Action” genre. Players can experience the distinct combat styles of three different devil hunters, Nero, Dante and V, as they fight to stop the ruthless Demon King from destroying the human world.
