Malaysian indie studio 1+1 Studios announced the release date for Duo Quest on September 16, coinciding with Malaysia Day celebrations. The news was revealed during yesterday’s Southeast Asian Games Showcase.
In this co-op roguelite deckbuilder, your friendship is a game mechanic. Strategise together, build complementary decks, and unleash combo attacks together with your chosen player two. In the middle of battle, players enter “Bondbreaker Mode” and will be asked quirky or deep questions about each other. The stronger your bond, the further you go, the more bosses you beat!
The game received over 10,000 players during its closed playtest and demo. It also won the Waverider Award for Creativity in Game Design or Mechanics at gamescom asia 2025, and was a finalist for Best Multiplayer at gamescom latam.
Players can try an updated build of Duo Quest during the upcoming Steam Next Fest in
June, including a new class in its full one-level demo. During the first few days of Next Fest, the developers will also be streaming for 4 hours daily on the 1+1 Studios Twitch channel, where the public can join the chat and ask questions.
