Star Detective Precure!, the latest instalment in the long-running Precure magical girl franchise, will team up with Detective Conan for a series of special crossover episodes. Conan will be featured in Star Detective Precure! on May 31, while Cure Answer, one of the main characters of Star Detective Precure!, will appear in Detective Conan on June 6.
The crossover is a rare collaboration between series from different Japanese broadcasters and production companies, with Star Detective Precure! airing on ABC TV and TV Asahi networks, and Detective Conan airing on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV networks. It also marks Precure’s second major anime collaboration, following a crossover between Wonderful Precure! and Crayon Shin-chan in 2024.
Star Detective Precure! episode 18, “The Great Detective Assemble”, will see Star Detective Precure and Conan teaming up to investigate the theft of a glass slipper, while the June 6 special episode of Detective Conan, “A Hanamaru Truth Answer”, follows Conan and the Detective Boys as they solve a series of jewel robberies.
