Upcoming anime series Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo recently announced the performers for the series’ opening and ending themes, revealing them to be none other than Galileo Galilei and Manami Kakudo, respectively. The series is scheduled for an April 2026 release.
Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo is a slice-of-life comedy that centers around an encounter between first-year middle school student Arata Kouda and Kujima, a strange creature that crossed over to Japan from Russia, which triggers a gradual change in his household. The series is based on a manga by Akira Konno, which won the U-NEXT award for the 2022 Next Manga Awards.
The opening theme, “Komorebizaka” by Galileo Galilei, was written based on a heartfelt request from Konno, creating a beautiful and emotional song ‘born from mutual respect between artists’. Galileo Galilei are best known for performing the opening themes for Ano Hana: The Flower We Saw and season two of Ao no Orchestra.
In addition, the ending theme song “Hororo Shoyo” will be performed by percussionist and composer Manami Kakudo, marking her first foray into composing an anime soundtrack and theme song. The song was created entirely by Kakudo, created with the friendship between Kujima and Arata in mind.
Both songs will begin pre-streaming Friday, April 10 at midnight (JST). More details can be found at the links below:
