‘FX Senshi Kurumi-Chan’ Is A New Anime Series About… Forex Trading?

An anime about a cute girl learning about the world of foreign exchange? Now you can say you’ve truly seen everything. FX Senshi Kurumi-Chan, an anime based on a manga by writer Demunyan and artist Daisuki Tansan, is set to air sometime later this year.

For the uninitiated, foreign exchange (often abbreviated to “forex” or “FX”) is the practice of trading one currency against another. Forex traders will buy and sell pairs of currencies, with the goal of profiting from changes in their exchange rates.

FX Senshi Kurumi-Chan follows Kurumi Fukuka, a college student whose mother took her own life after losing 20 million yen on the foreign exchange market. Determined to make back her mother’s loss, Kurumi delves into the world of forex trading herself, experiencing both the massive highs and cut-throat losses that come with the industry.

The anime adaptation will be produced by Passione and directed by Yuki Ogawa, featuring series composition by Kenta Ihara, character designs by Kazuyuki Ueda, and music composed by Takurō Iga.
