Kyoto Animation, the studio behind Violet Evergarden and CITY The Animation, will be revealing a new anime project on October 25th, 2025. The announcement will be made during its Meet The Worlds of KyoAni (KyoAni no Sekai-ten) event, in which the new anime’s main cast and staff will make an appearance.
Founded in 1985, Kyoto Animation is a Japanese animation studio and light novel publisher founded by husband and wife Hideaki and Yoko Hatta. The studio is best known for producing anime films and series including The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad, K-On!, Free! Iwatobi Swimming Club, A Silent Voice, and Violet Evergarden among others.
The studio is currently airing CITY The Animation on Amazon Prime Video. They have also announced the upcoming release of Sound! Euphonium The Final Movie, which will open in Japanese theatres in Spring 2026.
