Oshi no Ko Gets 3rd Season With New Cast Members

Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s Oshi no Ko will be getting a third season! Kadokawa announced the news on Sunday together with a special visual and video announcement on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. No release date has been announced yet.

New cast members were confirmed to return for Season 3, including Mamoru Miyano (Light Yagami in Death Note, Rintarou Okabe in Steins;Gate) as Hikaru Kamiki, who shared the following comment:

“I never thought that I would be able to appear in Oshi no Ko, so this is a great honor. I hope to cherish the worldview of this series that so many people are looking forward to, while facing my role of the mysterious and enigmatic Hikaru Kamiki.”

Hina Kino (Hanako Honda in Asobi Asobase, Miri Unasaka in Buddy Daddies) also joins the cast as the voice of Tsukuyomi, who shared the following comment:

“Thank you for watching the last episode! I’m Hina Kino, and I voice Tsukuyomi. Even though I voiced her, it was quite difficult as there were many things I didn’t know about her, but I paid attention to the gap between her childlike appearance and the words she uses when voicing her. Oshi no Ko, a series where various elements overlap and blend together to create an increasingly fascinating story. Please look forward to what developments the future holds!”

Oshi no Ko is currently wrapping up the final episode of Season 2. It also announced a real life 2.5D stage play based on the stage play arc heavily featured in the second season.
