‘trapezium’ Anime Film Premieres In Malaysia This September 19

GSC Cinemas announced last Thursday that they will premiere the anime film “trapezium” in Malaysia starting September 19th, 2024. The anime film is based on Kazumi Takayama’s trapezium novel, who follows the 10-year journey of Yu Higashi, a high school girl who aims to be an idol.

In order to achieve her dream, she sets for rules for herself: she will not be active on social media, she will not have a boyfriend, she will not stand out in school, and she will make friends with beautiful girls from the north, south, east, and west.

The anime film was produced by CloverWorks and opened in Japan on May 10th, 2024. The film’s theme song, “Nanmonai” is performed by VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei, while the ending theme song, “Hoi Jishin” is performed by the movie’s voice cast Asaki Yuikawa, Hina Yomiya, Reina Ueda, and Haruka Aikawa.

A manga adaptation illustrated by Kina Kazuharu was also announced on May 11th, 2024 and will launch on the KadoComi website in Q4 this year.
