Crunchyroll is bringing Overgeared to Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2026 with appearances from the anime’s voice cast and creative team, alongside an interactive booth experience inspired by the series.
Taking place from November 27 to 29 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Crunchyroll’s fourth consecutive appearance at AFA Singapore will feature Overgeared director Ayako Kono, executive producer Nobuhiro Osawa and Tatsumaru Tachibana, the Japanese voice of protagonist Grid.
Overgeared Team Takes the Stage
The three guests will appear at a special AFA Day Stage panel on November 28 from 1pm to 1:45pm at the NEXT Stage. During the panel, the team will share behind-the-scenes insights into the production of Overgeared. The session will also include a special live reading featuring Tachibana.
Kono previously worked as an episode director on Love Live! and assistant director on After the Rain before directing the Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- films. Overgeared marks her debut as a television anime director.
Osawa, President of EGG FIRM Inc., has served as chief producer on titles including Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, Sword Art Online and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
Tachibana’s previous voice acting roles include Eisaku Ohtomo in Aoashi, Basen in The Apothecary Diaries and Gregory Violet in Black Butler: Public School Arc.
A separate meet-and-greet will take place from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on November 28 at Meeting Room 332. Entry is ticketed, with tickets available for redemption at the Crunchyroll booth on a first-come, first-served basis.
Test Your Skills at Grid’s Forge
Throughout the three-day event, visitors can head to Crunchyroll’s booth J01 to participate in an interactive forging challenge inspired by Grid’s craftsmanship.
The activity features a large puzzle wall where participants assemble weapons before posing with a 3D installation of Grid. Fans who successfully complete the challenge will receive a specially designed Pagma’s Rare Book notebook while stocks last.
