The Biggest Capcom Announcements From Tokyo Game Show 2026

Capcom kicked off Tokyo Game Show with the Capcom Spotlight TGS 2026 broadcast, featuring brand-new updates on Capcom’s slate of games. With updates for Mega Man, Monster Hunter Wilds, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Street Fighter 6, Resident Evil and more, fans have plenty to look forward to.

The Blue Bomber Suits up in Mega Man: Dual Override and PRAGMATA

Mega Man: Dual Override director Shinya Ikuta and producer Hiroyuki Minamitani shared a deep dive on the latest evolution of the Mega Man series, providing insights on the game’s second playable character, Proto Man, and all-new features like the Custom Chip and Override systems, which improve the experience with more choice and strategy.

Mega Man will also be collaborating with PRAGMATA for a new “Mega Man Pack” DLC, which includes two sets of Mega Man and Roll-themed outfits for Hugh and Diana to wear on their lunar adventures, along with additional gestures and background music.

Mega Man: Dual Override launches in Spring 2027, available across PC and consoles.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Reveals Fiery Foe

The Capcom Spotlight showcased an extended cut of the latest trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, which revealed the return of Teostra. Hunters can look forward to battling the fire-breathing Elder Dragon when the Ascendance expansion launches in 2027 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

Fans can also expect more gameplay improvements, including the action-enhancing Boost Bracer; faster weapon swapping without the use of a Seikret mount, changing equipment outside the tent with the Item Box, and more. These improvements will also be available in the Monster Hunter Wilds base game.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026. Physical pre-orders of the game are available now, with digital pre-orders starting from October 19.

Prepare for Adventure in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

A new trailer featuring the story and enemies in the new region of Norgan was revealed on the Capcom Spotlight. Players will also be joined by new Official Pawns created by partners around the world, helping Arisen to tackle the 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges and unravel the mysteries beneath the snows.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 Character Creation & Storage Tool on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch 2 has also been updated with a preview of the new customization options coming in Dark Arisen.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen releases for PC and console this October 9. Players can also purchase the Dark Arisen Expansion as a separate DLC on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|S, with the Norgan Fashion Set – Northern Attire available as a pre-order bonus.

Arjun Kicks off a Flow of New Content for Street Fighter 6

Earlier this month, Capcom announced Arjun, the latest character coming to Street Fighter 6 Year 4. Visitors to Tokyo Game Show 2026 can try out his moves ahead of his release on October 13, available at the Capcom game booth; or celebrate from home with the “Arjun Arrives! Fighting Pass,” available now on major gaming platforms.

The Capcom Spotlight broadcast also gave fans their first look at the swimsuit-themed Outfit 4 for C. Viper, which releases alongside Arjun on October 13. Fans will also be able to redeem special New Challenger images featuring characters from the Street Fighter live-action film ahead of its worldwide release on October 16.

Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Marches on with More Thrills and Chills

Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 (Gold Edition) will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 this October 16.  Fans will also be able to purchase the Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, which includes all previously released DLC; and the Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition, which includes the Seperate Ways DLC and other bonuses. Digital pre-orders are now open for all three games, with a discount available for a limited time.

Fans can also look forward to various in-person experiences for Resident Evil‘s Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary, including the The World of Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Exhibit in Tokyo, the Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive horror maze at Universal Studios Japan, and Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Concerts across Europe and America. 

Capcom Town Welcomes Iconic Classics

23 retro games from Capcom’s collection, including Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, have been added to the Capcom Town website, available from now until November 1. Each game is playable on both PC and mobile platforms.

The Capcom Town website will also offer sales for Monster Hunter Wilds, Resident Evil Requiem, and PRAGMATA, with an additional up to 10% off when bundling five eligible titles. Fans can also purchase Onimusha: Way of the Sword or pre-order Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen for an exclusive bonus wallpaper.
