Chaotic PVP Game ‘Fat Goblins’ Debuts At Tokyo Game Show Ahead Of 2026 Launch

Independent developer Koda Games will debut their zany capture-the-flag game Fat Goblins at Tokyo Game Show, available from September 17 to 21. The game allows up to 32 players to battle it out in a hat-stealing, castle-sieging all-out war to see who can rescue their princess first.

Fat Goblins combines cartoonish combat with comedic gameplay mechanics (including overly-serious, hat-based class changing) as you take on the role of an army of goblins fighting across medieval landscapes, rescuing their royalty from the opposing team’s fortress, while also trying to steal the enemy princess back to their own castle.

Players can engage in various strategies to achieve victory, including feeding the enemy princess meat to slow her army down; as well as base-building and resource management, with players being able to chop trees to obtain wood, build up barracks, upgrade your fortress and place defenses like catapults at strategic locations to knock out your enemies.

The game takes inspiration from the 2009 PlayStation 3 title Fat Princess, but changes things up by introducing on-the-fly combat roles, allowing players to switch roles by picking up different hats on the battlefield, including warrior classes, mages and archers.

Keep up to date with Fat Goblins as it heads toward its 1.0 launch on Steam later this year at https://x.com/fatgoblinsgame and https://www.twitch.tv/kujukuju.
