To celebrate the historic debut of Yasmine, the first-ever Filipino character to enter the Street Fighter series, Capcom is now inviting fans in the Philippines to join the Official Street Fighter 6 Yasmine Community Event! The celebration will take place this 9 August at Salud! by Primera Bar & Restaurant, located in Palanan, Makati.
Visitors to the event will be able to join a fun tournament, on-site raffle, and guest appearances from cosplay icons, veteran figures from the local fighting game circuit, and popular creators. All attendees will also stand a chance to win exclusive event goodies, including Yasmine-themed T-shirts, lanyards, and keychains.
For local fans who cannot make it to the venue or international supporters cheering from overseas, you won’t miss a single frame of the action. The full tournament, including Top 8 and Finals, will be broadcast live with commentary on the Capcom Asia Official YouTube Channel.
Introducing Yasmine
Hailing from the Philippines, Yasmine learned how to fight alongside her Kuya (older brother)
under the guidance of her Lolo (grandfather). Following the sudden disappearance of her brother, Yasmine put down her Karambit knife until FooTube videos of a certain French supermodel inspired her to cut a path to her lost sibling.
Yasmine is the first character to be released from the upcoming Year 4 roster including Arjun, Tifa from the FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Series, and Bosch. Yasmine’s release will also coincide with Battle Balance adjustments for the entire Street Fighter 6 roster.
