Hasbro has officially announced My Little Pony: Forever Friendship, a brand-new animated series that will premiere on YouTube in early 2027. Described as a “feelings-first fantasy adventure,” the series follows Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy as they embark on a new journey filled with friendship, magic, and self-discovery.
The bi-weekly series will feature nine-minute episodes, exploring themes of individuality, belonging, and emotional growth through character-driven stories while staying true to the heart of the franchise.
Creative Team
The series is led by showrunner and head writer Gretchen Mallorie and director Tayhan Mustafa, who previously worked together on My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale and Transformers: Cyberworld. The main cast includes:
- Jenna Weir as Twilight Sparkle
- Ava Preston as Rainbow Dash
- Kayla Samson as Fluttershy
- Kaya Kanashiro as Pinkie Pie
New Theme Song
Alongside the announcement, Hasbro released a new song titled “Forever Friendship,” celebrating the series’ themes of connection, self-belief, and individuality. Performed by Cali Rodi and produced by Super Weirdo Productions, the track serves as a special cover of the show’s theme song.
The opening version featured in the series will be performed by the main voice cast. The song is now available on major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music.
Beyond the Series
Hasbro plans to expand My Little Pony: Forever Friendship beyond YouTube by sharing episode clips across its social media channels while supporting the series with additional music releases, an enhanced social media presence, and a companion podcast.
