Everstone Studio announced that its hit free-to-play Wuxia open-world ARPG, Where Winds Meet, will officially launch its Version 1.8 update “Companions Make Home” on June 25, featuring a long-anticipated customizable Homestead system and dynamic pets, alongside a packed roadmap of limited-time themed events.
Rebuild Your Estate in the Homestead System
In this update, players are called back to the serene lands of Qinghe, to take on the heavy yet heartfelt task of restoring “Blissful Retreat” – the very village where they were raised, now lying in ruins. The update introduces deep management and creative design features to the martial arts-inspired world.
- Breathe Life into Ruins: Players can recruit local villagers to become estate workers. Build and manage a thriving community by constructing inns, rebuilding porcelain kilns, brewing wine, farming, and trading to restore the village to its former glory.
- Beyond Artistry: Coming in July, this is a player-driven creative feature that allows players to design, showcase, and socially share their uniquely customized residences.
- Rewards of Revival: Participating in homestead activities earns exclusive currency redeemable in the Homestead Shop for free rewards, including the elegant Summer’s Blush outfit.
New Interactive Pet System
The Jianghu welcomes its newest residents as interactive Cats and Geese arrive as companions with rich, dynamic behaviors. These cuties react naturally to weather changes and world events, allowing players to dress them up and play together.
- Meet Your Companions: Three adorable felines—Maverick, Scar, and Pudding- will debut on day one, followed by the arrival of Goldie the goose in week two.
- The Companion Shop: Nurturing your bond with these pets unlocks custom companion outfits, specialized emotes, interactive actions, and the exclusive “Cute Master” player threads.
- Future Combat: A dedicated pet battle system is already in the pipeline for future updates, promising an entirely new dimension of casual fun.
