Independent developer Moon Studios revealed a stunning new trailer during PlayStation’s State of Play for the dark and painterly action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked, alongside the long-awaited full 1.0 release on PlayStation 5 and Steam in October, with versions for the Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 coming at a later date.
No Rest for the Wicked comes from the developers of the critically Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The game is an enticing blend of dark storytelling, painterly visuals, and best-in-class souls-like combat and RPG design. Players take on the role of a “Cerim,” a member of a holy order imbued with mysterious powers, tasked with destroying the Pestilence.
The full 1.0 release will be a massive expansion of the core No Rest for the Wicked experience, offering a vastly expanded breadth of content for both solo players and multiplayer lovers. It introduces a staggering 60+ hours of new content, a new horde mode, powerful new weapons, bosses and enemies, new areas and a completely reimagined class system.
As a token of appreciation for supporters new and old, Moon Studios is also offering an exclusive Early Access Founder’s Pack, a free limited edition bundle available for anyone who purchases the game on PC prior to July 10, 2026, with rewards unlocking when 1.0 officially launches.
