Cyclops, the fearless leader, is finally arriving in Marvel Rivals Season 8.5 as many have anticipated! In the Season 8 reveal trailer, we got a glimpse of what his in-game model will look like, although we’ve seen him as a plush and as a cameo prior. Now, we get to see his kit in action and it’s a blast!!
Cyclops is a duelist and appears to have 275 HP! It also looks like he’s all about precision and angles! Here’s what we know of his abilities based on the trailer.
His primary fire is, of course, his concussive optic blasts which ricochets between enemies, similar to Moon Knight. His ‘E‘ appears to allow him to bounce or reflect his beams off of enemies or the terrain to hit enemies at off-angles or behind cover, it also has 2 charges. He also has a mobility skill with his ‘LShift‘ being a beam-blast that pushes him and his target aways from each other whilst doing damage. His ‘F‘ is shown to launch him in the air and seemingly enhance his primary fire.
Last but not least, his ultimate is a massive laser which does huge damage to enemies and constructs. The trailer shows that Cyclops can use his ultimate whilst standing on the ground or mid-air. During his ultimate, Cyclops fires a beam in a straight line in front of him and into the air. The beam does massive damage on contact, and after a while, explodes to deal further damage.
Similar to other married couples in the game, like Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic, or Rogue and Gambit, maybe we’ll even get a set of legendary costumes for Cyclops and his wife, Jean!
What Else To Look Out For in Season 8.5?
Arriving with Cyclops is the new Shenloong Arena Map, as well as a new 18-v-18 mode called “Bounty Annihilation “.
There’s also going to be a new social spot similar to Times Square for players to just chill and mingle, the “Hellfire Bay Beach”.
Lots of skins will be available with the new seasonal event, and previous limited time event skins as well!
