Level Up KL, Southeast Asia’s premier game developers conference, has opened submissions for its 9th SEA Game Awards. Running since 2017, the SEA Game Awards aims to recognise and celebrate the creativity, innovation, and technical excellence of the finest game developers from the Southeast Asian region.
SEA Game Awards will be held in conjunction with Level Up KL, organised by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) in Kuala Lumpur on 14-16 October 2026. The award winners will be announced during the SEA Game Awards Show on 15 October 2026.
Winners will be awarded based on the following categories:
- Audience Choice Award
- Rising Star Award
- Best Technology Award
- Best Visual Art Award
- Best Game Design Award
- Best Audio Award
- Best Score & Music Award
- Best Storytelling Award
- Best Student Game Award
- Grand Jury Award
- Best International Game Award
- Sponsored Award
Finalists will receive:
- 1 metre Showcase Booth at the LEVEL UP KL Expo (15-16 October 2026)
- Chance to participate in the LEVEL UP KL Pitch Day (14 October 2026)
- 1x Business Pass for LEVEL UP KL 2026
- 1x Conference Pass for LEVEL UP KL 2026
- Winners will receive a prestigious SEA Game Awards trophy
