The Mr Bean Experience recently arrived at ACO LAB in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, taking over from its previous Demon Slayer themed café experience. Since ACO LAB mainly specialises in anime themed restaurants, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I was immediately blown away as stepping into the venue felt like walking straight into one of the classic episodes.
The decorations were absolutely stunning, with every corner carefully designed to capture the essence of Mr. Bean’s world. There were references to iconic moments from the show, from the famous green Mini Cooper to Mr. Bean’s teddy bear, and even a few photo spots that made visitors feel part of the sitcom itself.

The customer service was also accommodating, patient and attentive throughout our visit. They didn’t just serve our food, they really made sure we were comfortable in the café. When a small issue arose with our order, they attended to it immediately, resolving it with a smile. Speaking of the food, let’s get right into the review:
Food & Drinks

For our meals, we picked two mains: the Teddy Burger and Big Brekke. The Teddy Burger was a real highlight, being a mushroom burger served with crispy fries and a choice of sauces. What stood out most was the combination of flavors, as the mushroom patties, cheese, and onions came together beautifully. The burger actually featured two mushroom patties, which made it surprisingly hearty and filling.
Next came the Big Brekke, a UK-style breakfast set that included a chicken patty, scrambled eggs, baked beans, salad, and toast dusted with chocolate powder. Everything was well-prepared – the eggs were fluffy, the patty was tender, and the salad provided a refreshing balance. My only slight critique is that the chocolate powder on the toast felt a little unusual to me. It’s a fun twist for presentation, but not something I’d personally prefer taste-wise.

As for drinks, we first chose the Fruit Punch. It came as a refreshing surprise, with a mix of Coke and lime that created a fizzy, citrusy blend, which was both tangy and sweet. The lime added a bright, zesty kick that balanced out the sweetness of the Coke perfectly.
The second drink we chose was the matcha and red bean latte. I’ll admit I was a little skeptical about this one at first, because those two flavours can be a tricky combination. But to my surprise, it turned out really tasty and well-balanced. The earthy bitterness of the matcha paired harmoniously with the gentle sweetness of the red bean, creating a smooth, comforting drink that wasn’t overly sweet.
Verdict
Overall, I’d rate my visit a solid 7.5 out of 10. The pricing is a little on the higher side, but all things considered, if you’re a fan of the classic British comedy, or simply someone looking for a fun, themed dining experience, the Mr. Bean Café at ACO LAB, Pavilion Bukit Jalil is definitely worth checking out.
