Witch Watch Season 2 is officially in production at Bilbury Animation Studio, according to a statement made via the series’ official website and social media accounts. The announcement was made following the Japanese broadcast of the Season 1 finale.
Witch Watch follows Nico, a witch-in-training who moves in with her childhood friend Morihito Otogi, a high school student descended from a long line of ogre familiars. While Nico is excited to live with her childhood crush, Morihito has been given a mission as a familiar to protect her from a prophesied disaster. Hijinks ensue as the two navigate life as roommates, as well as unpredictable chaos caused by Nico’s magic.
The Witch Watch anime series originally began airing this April, distributed internationally via Crunchyroll and Netflix. The first season featured a theme song from the popular J-pop duo YOASOBI.
