Digital Cybercherries have officially announced a major expansion to their viral horror sensation, DON’T SCREAM. The new, expanded co-op version is titled DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER, and promises to dial up the original’s fear, friendship, and frustration, all while demanding absolute silence.
The original premise of DON’T SCREAM was simple but effective: a first-person horror experience where screaming, laughing, or even a loud cough means an immediate game over and a restart. That core challenge remains, but now up to four players must endure the ordeal together.
Using proximity voice chat, players must use their microphones to whisper, strategize, and panic in real-time, but only nearby teammates can hear them. The true test of friendship comes when a dynamically triggered jump scare hits – if anyone in the group lets out a yelp, the entire team is sent back to the beginning

While co-op is the headlining feature, Digital Cybercherries has also packed DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER with features that aim to make it a completely new experience:
- Dynamic Scares: New scares and expanded locations ensure that no two playthroughs are the same.
- Improved Voice Detection: The microphone sensitivity has been fine-tuned to catch not just screams, but also potential ‘scream-alikes’ like laughs, sneezes, burps, and even farts!
- Time Moves When You Do: The game maintains its tense movement mechanic where time progresses only when the player moves.
- New “Hunted” mode: In this mode, if a player speaks too loudly and flags the microphone, they are not eliminated, but instead return as a playable hunter. This newly turned hunter can track and stalk the remaining survivors, using proximity voice to intimidate them before going in for the final scare.
Players can now wishlist DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER on Steam to be the first to know when it’s released.
