The Pokémon Company has delivered a massive boost to the roster of Pokémon UNITE, with Mega Charizard X now playable in game. This powerful Mega Evolution, first encountered by Trainers in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, is now ready to scorch opponents on the battlefields of Aeos Island.
Mega Charizard X introduces the brand-new Mega Evolution Unite license, which allows a Trainer to Mega Evolve their Pokémon immediately after deploying its Unite Move in battle. Once transformed, the Pokémon receives a temporary but drastic improvement to its stats and abilities, often enough to single-handedly swing the outcome of a team fight.
Unlike standard Pokémon Unite licenses, which offer players a choice between two different move paths, the Mega Evolution Unite license for Mega Charizard X comes with a single, fixed moveset. This ensures a distinct and focused playstyle, offering veteran players a new tactical experience and fresh challenge.
Pokémon UNITE is also hosting a special in-game event to celebrate Mega Charizard X’s arrival. From October 24 to November 14, players can complete various missions to collect research data, incrementally building up their research progress to a maximum of 100%. Along the way, players will earn research coins that can be traded for the coveted Mega Evolution Unite license for Mega Charizard X.
For Trainers who miss the event, there’s no need to fear! Once the promotional period concludes, the Mega Evolution Unite license will be permanently added to the Unite Battle Committee shop and will be available for purchase using either Aeos coins or Aeos gems.
