Singapore-based developer BattleBrew Productions have announced their latest title, HellHeart Breaker, described as a a dungeon-crawler roguelite with dating sim elements. BattleBrew Productions’ previous work include Cuisineer, an award-winning roguelite published by Marvelous Europe and XSEED Games; and the currently in-development top-down stealth game Love In Tiny Spaces.
HellHeart Breaker is set in an Asian-themed Underworld reminiscent of 1920s Shanghai. You awaken in a forgotten room of a bathhouse, and quickly become a new resident of the Underworld’s last remaining city. With no recollection of who you are, and marked by an ominous prophecy, you set off to figure out who you truly are.
Players will discover the rich history of the world, while also getting to know the unique and varied characters of this place, from a Naga princess to an Oni blacksmith, a Kitsune courtesan, or Asuran enforcer. You’ll learn new abilities and master the elements from the scions of the different clans while perhaps falling in love with one – or maybe even two – of them.
However, you’ll also need to choose your love interests wisely – the monster girls you date will grant you newfound powers, while the remaining girls will become the bosses you fight! Fight your way out of the Underworld in a game that asks if all truly is fair in love and war.
