Malaysia’s Honor of Kings esports scene is levelling up as Mountain Dew’s Dew Challenge 2025 rolls out in a series of on-ground esports qualifiers, happening across three Malaysian states: Penang, Johor Bahru, and Kuala Lumpur.
With a staggering RM750,000 prize pool, live tournaments, and immersive fan experiences, the Dew Challenge is shaping up to be the boldest esports campaign the nation has seen. The action kicks off with four electrifying qualifiers taking place at:
- 24–25 May: Straits Quay, Penang
- 31 May–1 June: Toppen Shopping Centre, Johor Bahru
- 14–15 June: Lalaport BBCC, Kuala Lumpur
- 21–22 June: Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur
Each venue will host 16 pre-registered teams competing in single-elimination, Best-of-One matches. The winning team from each location will take home RM5,000 and a coveted spot in the Grand Finale, while all 16 participating teams will also receive a Legendary Honor of Kings in-game skin.
Beyond the matches, fans can expect an all-day celebration of Honor of Kings esports. Attendees can enjoy:
- Mountain Dew sampling booths
- A gaming showcase by Republic of Gamers (ROG) featuring the new ROG Phone 9 Series
- Appearances by popular cosplayers from COS-MIC Stars
- Interactive on-site challenges with exclusive merchandise giveaways
The Dew Challenge 2025 is supported by a line-up of major partners, including ROG, Jollibee, The Chicken Rice Shop, and 4Fingers. The campaign’s massive RM750,000 prize pool includes RM200,000 in cash, RM250,000 in Honor of Kings in-game currency, and RM300,000 in vouchers from food and retail sponsors.
Registrations are open now, with free entry for all eligible Malaysian players. In cases of high demand, teams will be selected via a fair random draw, and confirmed participants will be notified ahead of the event.
