Developers NTT Solmare, in collaboration with Creek & River Co. Ltd and flagos Inc., have announced a new instalment in the popular Obey Me! dating sim series. The new game is described as a “lifestyle app” where players will be able to spend time with their favourite love interests “from good morning to good night”.
To support the development of the new game, the companies plan to launch crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter and Soreosu, with additional rewards planned for every milestone reached.
Originally released in 2019, Obey Me! is a popular mobile dating sim where players can chat and interact with seven handsome demon brothers. At the same time, players will need to collect cards in order to progress through the story, which requires the player to win card battles against evil demons.
The game attracted over 8 million downloads, and inspired a sequel, Obey Me!: Nightbringer, as well as an anime and manga series of the same name. Despite their success, both games were discontinued on January 2025, with the developers explaining that the franchise would transition into a “new era” with different forms of content and merchandise.
Based on what’s been released so far, we can likely guess that the games are being re-imagined for a slightly older audience, moving away from the original game’s school setting to explore the player’s married life with their demon brother of choice – possibly taking cues from the recent success of titles like Love and Deepspace.
More information on the new game will be made available on Obey Me!’s official social channels.
