NantGames has unveiled a major update for MythWalker, its innovative geolocation fantasy RPG, bringing Southeast Asia’s mobile gamers a new way to play together.
The update introduces Tethering, a groundbreaking feature that enables real-time cooperative play for up to three players. Friends from Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangkok, Mumbai, Hanoi, or Singapore can now team up and explore Mytherra together, regardless of their physical location.
You can link up with a lead friend to explore their surroundings as a party. For example, a player in Singapore and another in Manila can tether to a lead friend in Kuala Lumpur, allowing them to traverse landmarks, complete quests, battle foes, and collect resources. The larger the party, the greater the rewards.
“Our team has always envisioned MythWalker as a living, growing world steeped in rich traditions and lore, much like the real world we live in,” said NantGames creative director Jesse Snyder.
“This expansion is a significant one as Tethering is going to be a real game changer, and players can be assured we plan on developing more awesome experiences for the future. Beyond game content, we’re committed to continue to find ways to make our geolocation game more accessible to players, connecting friends in the real world.”
New Wyldevae Creatures & Expanded Quests

The update also introduces Wyldevae, mischievous magical fairies that bring new challenges to the game. These creatures require strategic teamwork to defeat and reward players with unique loot.
Three distinct Wyldevae species now roam Mytherra’s terrains:
- Bergavae: Mountain moth-like creatures
- Strandavae: Island fish-like fairies
- Fennavae: Swamp dragonfly-like beings
Beyond just fighting these new adversaries, players can also take on fresh quests to uncover the mysteries behind their origins and motives. The update builds on the previous April 20 update that introduced over 20 quests, ensuring players will have plenty of content to dive into.
