Fans of the action RPG Wuthering Waves have a lot to look forward to, as developer Kuro Games will be rolling out some exciting new content and platform expansions. Its highly anticipated Version 2.2 update, “Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower,” released yesterday on March 27th.
The update will feature a new main quest, a new companion story, and two brand-new regions for players to explore: Avinoleum and Beohr Waters. The update will also introduce a variety of new challenges, including the “Tactical Hologram: Dragon of Dirge,” alongside a collection of fresh Echoes to collect, such as Reminiscence: Fleurdelys, Nightmare: Lampylumen Myriad, and several others.
In addition to the new content, Version 2.2 will also feature several quality-of-life optimizations, including improvements to the PC launcher for faster updates, customizable color settings for graphics, quicker access to supplies in the backpack during resonator upgrades, a convenient story review feature, and the introduction of in-game Titles to mark player progression. Exploration will also be made more convenient with an increase in the number of deployable Waypoints and Casket Sonar.

The update will also see the arrival of new Resonators, including the highly anticipated five-star character Cantarella and the Aero element Rover. Players can look forward to new Featured Resonator Convenes, including “Neptune’s Lullaby” featuring Cantarella, and reruns of previous banners. A selection of new weapons, such as “Whispers of Sirens” and the free 5-star weapon “Bloodpact’s Pledge,” will also be introduced, alongside new Featured Weapon Convenes.
In addition to game updates, Wuthering Waves will also be expanding its platform availability, with the game now available to play on Apple devices. Kuro Games has also confirmed that Wuthering Waves will be coming soon to PC, with the game being available to wishlist via Steam now.
