Monster Hunter Wilds 2nd Open Beta Test Arrives In February 2025

CAPCOM will be hosting a second cross-play open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds in February, ahead of the game’s launch on 28th February 2024.The news was announced in a New Year’s Greetings video hosted by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.

The second open beta will feature Gypceros as a huntable monster. Player customisation data from the first open beta test will carry over into the second test and the full release, but progress in the game will not carry over.

This will be the first time Monster Hunter is introducing cross-platform play support into its franchise, making this a highly anticipated instalment for hunters who want to experience the game with friends.

The second open beta will run from February 7th, 11:00AM (GMT+8) to February 10th, 10:59AM (GMT+8), and from February 14th, 11:00AM (GMT+8) to February 17th, 10:59AM (GMT+8). It will be open to players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Players who participate in Open Beta Test 2 will receive a Stuffed Felyne Teddy Pendant and a Bonus Item Pack.

Monster Hunter Wilds is set for worldwide release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Pre-orders and early purchases are also available now, including the Guild Knight Layered Armor Set and Hope Charm Talisman in-game pre-order bonuses. Players who pre-order through the PlayStation store will receive the exclusive Monster Hunter Wilds Digital Mini Artbook.
