CAPCOM revealed a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds during Summer Game Fest, featuring new gameplay footage, a new monster, and updates on cross-platform support.
In the new trailer, you can see the new monster Balahara attacking the large-bodied Doshaguma, and smaller monsters attacking the Chatacabra. A new Leviathan species monster that inhabits the Windward Plains, it moves smoothly through the sand with its twisted body and uses mucus secreted from within its body to attack.
Together with the new trailer, Monster Hunter Wilds also announced crossplay across all avaialble platforms. Crossplay can be enabled and disabled in the in-game options. Players can also become friends with other players across different platforms.
Additionally, the next major update for Monster Hunter Wilds will be revealed at gamescom Opening Night Live 2024 in August, and the world’s first playable experience will be available at the gamescom 2024’s venue!
Monster Hunter Wilds is set for worldwide release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
