TGAFGWCATGA Is Indie Gaming’s Answer To The Game Awards

The Game Awards is one of the biggest events in the gaming calendar — and one of the most expensive. For indies that are looking for a platform to showcase their next title, it is the best platform and also the one that’s most likely to bankrupt them.

That’s where TGAFGWCATGA comes in. It stands for The Game Awards For Games Who Can’t Afford The Game Awards, an indie focused showcase that celebrates indie games that don’t have the budget for events like The Game Awards.

Happening on December 14th at 1:00AM (GMT+8), TGAFGWCATGA will be premiering on the event’s official YouTube channel. The showcase is organised by the team behind StarVaders, an upcoming roguelike deckbuilder and grid-based tactics game coming out in Q2 2025.

The team has also begun releasing the list of games that made it into TGAFGWCATGA, including several Southeast Asian titles like Sedap from Kopiforge and Cuisineer from BattleBrew Productions.

Make sure to catch TGAFGWCATGA on December 14th, 1AM (GMT+8) on YouTube.
