From a trend that grew in popularity during the lockdown, to a thriving industry that is here to stay, we love the spirit, creativity, and technology that goes into VTubers and their communities. That’s why we’re delighted to announce that we’re in the process of organising Malaysia’s first VTuber-focused convention, VTXPO!
For those who have been following our events in the past, VTXPO is actually our second VTuber-focused event. Our first event was Virtual Idol Party, a 100% livestreamed event back in 2021 during the height of the lockdown, featuring games and performances with 15 VTubers across Southeast Asia.
With VTXPO, we hope to continue supporting this growing industry across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. This time, making history as Malaysia’s first VTuber-focused event in a physical venue.
Where & when is VTXPO?
With that, we’re thrilled to announce that the first ever VTXPO will be held at Malaysia Digital Content Festival (MYDCF), an annual event hosted by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, happening this 13th to 15th September 2024.
MYDCF celebrates all forms of digital media including animation, games, e-sports, and now, VTubers. We’re incredibly excited to be part of CreatorXPO, their dedicated content creator zone, and we hope this will be a stepping stone towards bigger things for the regional VTuber scene!
How do I buy tickets to VTXPO?
Access to CreatorXPO is free, which means you can visit VTXPO without a ticket!
However, if you’d like to visit the rest of MYDCF, tickets are priced at RM40 for all three days, or RM20 per day. The ticket will grant you access to all areas of MYDCF including Level Up KL PLAY. Tickets can be purchased on Ticket2U.
How do I get to VTXPO?
VTXPO is happening inside CreatorXPO at Hall 7, located on the 3rd floor of Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. Entry to the 3rd floor and Hall 7 is free!
