Agatha All Along (Sept 18, 2024)
A new trailer for Agatha All Along hit the stage at D23. together with a special performance of The Ballad of Witches’ Road by the cast. The show will follow Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as the witch Agatha Harkness in the aftermath of WandaVision having to face a “magical gauntlet of trials” along the Witches Road as she seeks to gain her powers back.
Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man (Nov 2, 2024)
With its launch date looming closer, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man had plenty to reveal to the D23 audience. Marvel Animation confirmed that the animated Disney+ series will include characters like Doctor Strange, Doctor Octopus, Doctor Connors, as well as a new take on Peter Parker.
As a special surprise, Trammell also announced that Hudson Thames will be voicing Peter Parker in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, with Colman Domingo playing Norman Osborn. This version of Peter Parker will also be watched over by Norman Osborn, a complicated relationship that the animated series aims to explore.
Captain America: Brave New World (Feb 14, 2025)
Our new Captain America, Anthony Mackie, took to the stage to share footage from the upcoming film — which reportedly included footage of Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk. The next entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe hits theaters on Valentine’s Day.
Daredevil: Born Again (March 1, 2025)
Daredevil: Born Again stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Anm Woll, Elden Henson, and Jon Bernthal graced the stage to announce that the series will premiere on Disney+ in March 2025. The leaked trailer reportedly showcases the return of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye, and the vigilante White Tiger.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 24, 2025)
Fans at D23 got an exclusive peek at the initial teaser trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The trailer shown was reportedly the same one shown at San Diego Comic Con last month. Stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach also treated fans to a special video message from set, showing off their team uniforms for the first time.
Ironheart (Sept 3, 2025)
Executive producer Ryan Coogler teased the upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart, starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a Chicago-born genius inventor who studies at MIT and creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. Despite rumours of Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as the Iron Man AI in Ironheart’s suit, Marvel has yet to confirm this news.
X-Men ’97 Season 2 (Date TBA)
X-Men ’97 is undoubtedly one of the best things in Marvel Animation right now, but unfortunately, there’s no confirmation on the release date for Season 2 just yet. Instead, Marvel confirmed that fans can “at least expect” outfits based on Grant Morrison’s suit designs.
Fans were also treated to exclusive footage at D23, which featured Magneto on trial before it’s declared that the “X-Men are here to stay.”
What If…? Season 3 (Date TBA)
The Marvel Animation panel had plenty to tease about the third and reportedly final season of “What If…?”. Fans can look forward to some weird and wacky concepts including an anime mecha episode featuring Falcon, Red Guardian, Shang-Chi, Spectrum, and Moon Knight, and an unlikely team-up between The Winter Soldier and Red Guardian.
Marvel Zombies (Date TBA)
After the stellar reception to the Marvel Zombies episode in What If…? Season 1, director and executive producer Bryan Andrews revealed at D23 that a Marvel Zombies spin-off series is in the works. The mini series will have a total of four episodes.
Eyes of Wakanda (Date TBA)
Director and executive producer Todd Harris and producer Ryan Coogler teased the addition of Iron Fist to Marvel Animation’s Eyes of Wakanda. They also confirmed that the 4-episode series would focus on very specific time periods and intersection points within the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Eyes of Wakanda mini series also looks to explore Wakanda as its little pocket of Eden and the price that was paid throughout history to maintain its secrecy.
