Anigames, a rising tabletop game event organisation, will organise the biggest tabletop games convention ever seen in Malaysia this coming December. Starting from 9 – 11 December, Anigames will offer a three-day convention for you to experience over 100 domestic and international tabletop games, with a chance to win prizes and awards worth over RM10,000.
In addition to the board game competitions, there will be over 50 tabletop game booths, a game area offering over 300 board games, figure & miniature showcases, overseas game collectables, lucky draws and other exciting activities.
Whether you are a novice or a veteran of tabletop games, or even if you have never been exposed to the genre, you’re sure to have a wonderful experience here. In addition, tabletop game fans can also have a chance to communicate with tabletop game designers, and even have the opportunity to beta test new games first-hand.
Officially Attempting to Enter The Malaysia Book of Records
Anigames Founder, Mr Lai Chung Sen has announced that Anigames Con 2022 will be officially attempting to enter the Malaysia Book of Records for having most participants in a tabletop game event.
He added, “This never-before-seen tabletop games convention is sure to provide a wide variety of tabletop game experiences and we are certain that the participants will be satisfied! I still hope that tabletop games will be more accepted in Malaysia and garner sustainable development as a healthy social activity.”
Eight Elements of Fun
Anigames Con 2022 aims to bring out the world of tabletop gaming through eight elements: Curiosity, Wisdom, Friendship, Co-opetition, Time, Courage, Luck, and Strength. The event will also include many different zones with an open board game area, a strategy card game zone, role-playing games, murder mystery games and a showcase of locally designed games.
For expert tabletop games players, Anigames has a challenge for them too, with several competitions based on specific tabletop games, including a Catan competition that combines board games with virtual reality (VR) for the very first time, providing a new way for the participants to experience content. Winners will be able to walk away with their cut of an RM10,000 prize pool.
