In a move that will excite PC games everywhere, Sony and Santa Monica Studios announced the end-of-exclusivity period for Playstation’s God of War, via a PC announcement trailer on the Playstation official YouTube channel.

The announcement was solidified with a new Steam store page advertising the game, available for pre-order on both Steam and Epic Games Store, with a price of RM209 for players that want to get the game ahead of release. PC features advertised include “high-fidelity graphics”. including 4K resolution, DLSS and reflex support for higher frame rates and sharper graphics, and ultra-widescreen support.
God of War released back in 2018 to near universal acclaim. Critics and reviewers praised the massive attention to detail, the beautiful world and presentation, combat that reminisces the previous games while keeping itself fresh and updated for modern times, and the remarkable story of Kratos, now father to Atreus.
Sony is currently working on a sequel, titled God of War: Ragnarok, currently scheduled for a tentative June 2022 release date. No doubt this announcement is part of Sony’s plan to continually generate hype for what is – undoubtedly – one of the Playstation’s greatest IPs ever.
