Now that San Diego Comic Con 2018 weekend has finally passed, all that’s left to do is a build a fort out of all the mattresses in my house in preparation for the release of all the upcoming movies and TV shows. I’ll need sustenance, comfort, and a good enough excuse to apply for a year-long leave at work. That’s right, that’s how much we’ve got to look forward to this coming year.
Despite Marvel and HBO not joining in the trailer reveal party, Warner Bros., SYFY, Netflix, BBC America, and more all brought their A-game to the event. From reboots to brand new series, to long-anticipated continuations of old TV series, you’re missing out if you’re not in the loop!
We’ve got you covered – here’s all the TV show trailers you need to catch yourself up on:

Titans
“F*** Batman” indeed. Teen Titans will be getting the live-action treatment this fall alongside the launch of DC’s new streaming service, DC Universe. It seems far grittier and more mature than how we’ve seen the Titans in the past, similar to how CW revamped the ‘Arrow’ universe. The cast features Benton Thwaites as Robin/Dick Grayson, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, and Anna Diop as Starfire.
Young Justice: Outsiders
DC also gave us our first glimpse at the third season of animated series ‘Young Justice’, officially titled ‘Young Justice: Outsiders’. The trailer introduced a slew of new characters including Static, Kid Flash, Robin, Wonder Girl, Spoiler, Blue Beetle, Thirteen, Arrowette, Arsenal and Beast Boy. Members from the original team will also be making their return to the series, including Artemis, Nightwing, Aqualad, and Superboy.
The Walking Dead Season 9

You’ll want to catch the next season of ‘The Walking Dead’, because it will be Andrew Lincoln’s last. The actor has served as the series lead since the very beginning, and although it’s been a long time coming, it’ll still be sad to see him go. Now, any bets for how the ex-sheriff will meet his demise?
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
‘The Clone Wars’ is back! Disney surprised everybody when it announced that it’d be bringing back its Star Wars animated series back for another season. The season will be 12 episodes long and will wrap up all the loose ends left hanging when the series was cancelled in 2014. It will premiere on Disney’s new streaming service which will launch sometime next year.
Star Trek: Discovery Season 2

The second season of ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ will be dropping sometime early 2019 – hallelujah! The new season will feature Christopher Pike as acting captain, the appearance of Tig Notaro, and Spock will also make a return after it was teased at the end of Season 1.
Doctor Who Season 11
After a great deal of controversy surrounding the new female doctor, the first trailer for the 11th season of Doctor Who is finally here! While we wished it were longer, we still manage to get a good preview of the new doctor (played by Jodie Whittaker) visiting new worlds, finding new friends, and the hijinks they get up to together.
Disenchantment

From the creator of ‘Futurama’ and ‘Simpsons’ comes a new Netflix animated series called ‘Disenchantment’! The story follows a heavy drinking princess (Abbi Jacobson) and her two companions, an elf (Nat Faxon) and a demon (Eric André). As fans of Matt Groening’s work, we’re definitely excited to see how this series pans out!
Deadly Class
Produced by the Russo brothers, directors of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and the upcoming Untitled Avengers 4 film, ‘Deadly Class’ is about a child who was recruited into a boarding school… except it isn’t any ordinary boarding school. This school is for the children of the most infamous crime families in the world. Oh no.
The Orville Season 2

The ‘Star Trek’ parody is back for a second season! The sci-fi comedy drama will be releasing at least 14 new episodes later this year, featuring more adventures, more humour, and some new characters; Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl) and Chris Johnson will be joining the crew in this coming season.
Nightflyers
We’ll never have enough of George R.R. Martin stories, so thank goodness Syfy announced a brand new space show based on Martin’s space-horror novella, ‘Nightflyers’. Considering the author himself has described the series as “psycho in space”, we’re probably in for a great treat.
The Man In The High Castle Season 3
Amazon has renewed ‘The Man In the High Castle’ for a third season, and recently, a fourth one is reportedly on the way too! The third season will drop this 5 October 2018, centering around The Greater Reich discovering “anomalies in time in space” that lead to alternate universes.
