The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Yukino Sonoyama’s Bless manga has revealed its main cast, teaser visual and January 2027 premiere window. The announcement was made during Aniplex’s One Focus livestream event.
Tomohiro Ōno will voice Aia Udagawa, while Chiyuki Miura will play Jun Sumisaki. On the production end of things, Bless will be directed by Shōtarō Kitamura at A-1 Pictures, with Takayuki Kikuchi serving as assistant director.
Fukurou Kamiza will oversee and write the series scripts, while Honoka Yokoyama serves as character designer and chief animation director. Tetsuya Kawakami and Reina Iwasaki will also work as chief animation directors, with music composed by Ryō Yoshimata.
Bless follows Aia, who has been told she is destined to become a model, and Jun, who has faced bullying because of her freckles. The two come together as they challenge expectations surrounding beauty, talent and success, with the story exploring what it means to define yourself beyond an arbitrary system that appears to value natural talent over hard work.
