Riot Games has unveiled Riftbound’s release roadmap through 2027, while also sharing new details on upcoming 2026 products and the game’s fifth expansion, Radiance.
The announcement outlines four major sets planned for next year, alongside gameplay updates, new starter products, and changes to booster pack composition. The full details can be found on the official Riftbound website, but we’ve got a quick TL;DR below:
2026 Releases
- Secret Garden Collection: The Secret Garden collection is a premium alternate-art product based on cards from Unleashed. It includes alternate-art versions of Lillia, Ivern, and Ultrasoft Poro, plus alternate-art tokens, sleeves, postcards, and booster packs. The product will be available at various events around the world, including this September’s Riftbound Qualifiers in Singapore.
- T1 Worlds Champion Collection: The Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Collection remains on schedule, with English-language sign-ups for its Signature Set drawing planned for August 14–17. The separate Player Bundle will be distributed through another drawing later in October.
- Radiance: Riftbound’s fifth expansion releases October 23, following previews beginning in late September. The set introduces several new Legends, including Seraphine, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Ekko, Evelynn, and four additional unannounced champions
Radiance products include booster packs, a Seraphine vs. Evelynn Showdown Deck, Vault Bundle, and Pre-Rift kits. Riot also confirmed that a new Ultimate Rare card will debut in the set.
- Gift of the Rift Bundle: Launching December 4, the Gift of the Rift Bundle celebrates Riftbound’s first year with 16 booster packs spanning the game’s first five sets, foil rune set, Akali sleeves and 2,000-card storage box. The English version will feature an exclusive alt-art Akali, while the Chinese version gets an alt-art Kennen.
2027 Releases
- Legacy: Releasing in January 2027, the set will include Ashe, Garen, Heimerdinger, Illaoi, Karma, Lux, Tryndamere, and Vladimir, alongside four Champion Decks, boosters and Vault Bundles. New artwork inspired by League of Legends Classic will appear on select cards.
Legacy will also mark Riftbound’s largest gameplay update since launch, with key changes such as:
- Booster packs replace one Common slot with a dedicated Legend or Battlefield slot.
- Draft receives dedicated support through set design, including stronger Limited archetypes and “signpost” cards.
- New templating improves card readability by visually highlighting targets and separating trigger conditions from effects with a new arrow symbol.
- Several rules wording updates aim to reduce confusion around the term “play.”
- Proving Grounds: Following the release of Legacy, Proving Grounds: Second Edition will launch in February 2027 with four new preconstructed decks featuring Heimerdinger, Karma, Vladimir, and Illaoi.
- The Reckoning: Releasing in April 2027, The Reckoning will include new Legends Aurelion Sol, Cho’Gath, Shyvana, Vayne, and Zilean. Champion Decks for Shyvana and Vayne will accompany the set alongside boosters, Vault Bundles, and Pre-Rift kits.
- Set 8: Riot also teased Riftbound’s eighth expansion, currently scheduled for Q3 2027. While the set does not yet have an official name, it will take players to Bandle City, featuring Yordle champions and new gameplay mechanics.
- Set 9: The final teaser unveiled in the roadmap hinted at a new Shadow Isles set, showing new artwork of the Blessed Isles and early concept art of Shadow Isles creatures.
