CONTROL Resonant Launches Worldwide on September 24

During Summer Game Fest, Remedy Entertainment unveiled a brand-new Paranatural Manhattan Trailer for CONTROL Resonant, the highly anticipated sequel to Remedy’s critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning CONTROL.

The Paranatural Manhattan Trailer reveals more of CONTROL Resonant’s twisted version of the city of New York. The trailer is narrated by Emily Pope, who returns from the original game as the acting director of the Federal Bureau of Control, working closely with main character Dylan Faden.

CONTROL Resonant features an open-ended, imaginative sandbox that only the talented and creative developers at Remedy Entertainment could devise. The paranaturally twisted Manhattan consists of several zones that are visually diverse, each teeming with unique, dedicated enemy factions. This is the largest and richest environment Remedy has ever constructed for a game.

As Dylan Faden, delving into each biome will offer players a distinct gameplay experience. Some of these are above ground, some deep below, and some exist in dimensions humans were not even aware of. The biomes contain engaging story missions, exciting side quests, such as hunting down rogue Altered Items, dynamic boss fights, and head-scratching puzzles to solve.

All of this gives players a wealth of choices in what to pursue and how to progress through the game. Players will also get to experience new, previously unseen sections of the Oldest House, where the first CONTROL took place.

“In this latest trailer we are excited to show the variety and world building we have injected into CONTROL Resonant. Our talented development team is bringing back some of the vibes from the original game, with the return of the Oldest House and Emily Pope narrating,” said Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of CONTROL Resonant.

The trailer features an exclusive song “Manalan Mailla” performed by Finnish ethno-pop artist Vilma Jää. The track, which was composed specifically for CONTROL Resonant, was written by Teemu Brunila, Jurek, and Vilma Jää.

“Manalan Mailla is inspired by the Ingrian ensemble runonlaulu tradition, with its heterophonic choral parts and lyrics based on alliteration and iteration,” said Vilma Jää. “I also included some herding calls in the song, as I just love to sing as high and as loud as possible whenever I get the chance. Working with the music-making superstars Teemu Brunila and Jurek was very inspiring and a huge honour. Together we created something very catchy while still respecting the folklore.”

Fans can also look forward to listening to the track “Manalan Mailla” on Spotify, Apple Music, and other selected streaming platforms. Follow Vilma Jää on Instagram at @vilma.jaa.

CONTROL Resonant will be available worldwide on September 24, 2026. Pre-orders for physical and digital editions are now open for PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S, PC via SteamEpic Games Store
