Malaysian-Made ‘FiresOut!’ Drops Chaotic Co-Op Firefighting Demo

Malaysian indie developer Dreamonaut Studio has launched their first public demo for FiresOut!, its upcoming co-op firefighting game, available now on Steam.

The game was recently featured in Clemmy’s Best Indie Game Showcase, offering players an early hands-on look at the game’s signature blend of chaos, teamwork, and questionable workplace safety standards.

FiresOut! puts players in the boots of a firefighting intern facing meteorites, exploding fireballs, and a fire extinguisher that is, in fact, a toilet goldfish named Mr. Glug Glug. Victims can be carried to safety, or yeeted. They’re covered by insurance, anyway.

The chaos clearly resonates: ahead of its demo launch, the game has generated over 200 media coverage, 64 YouTube videos, 115 Twitch streams, and 91 creators, with 628 players during the Steam Playtest and 260 within the first 24 hours.

“This demo is a milestone we’ve been working towards for some time. We can’t wait for friends, couples or families to try FiresOut! The demo is free, which is more than we can say for the therapy sessions afterwards,” shares Amirrul Rasyid, Co Founder of Dreamonaut.

The demo features 6 full levels and 4 playable characters to choose from. It also supports 1 to 4 players in local co-op or online multiplayer.

Wishlist the game or try the demo now on Steam.
