My Hero Academia Gets Anime Short This Summer 2026

My Hero Academia has confirmed that a second animated short will be released in Summer 2026, following the release of the first “More” animated short that aired earlier today.

The second short will be based on the “I am a hero too” one-shot manga that creator Kohei Horikoshi drew for the My Hero Academia Ultra Age fan book which was published last year. Both animated adaptations are in conjunction with the franchise’s 10th anniversary project.

My Hero Academia is a popular manga and anime series created by Kohei Horikoshi. The story is set in a world where most people have “quirks” or superpowers, except for protagonist Deku. Despite this, his tenacity inspires All Might, the world’s greatest hero, to gift him his quirk, which allows him to attend the hero high school U.A.

The anime adaptation debuted its eighth and final season on October 4th, with its final episode airing on December 13th. The manga crossed 100 million copies in circulation worldwide in April 2024.
